Okay, I'll say in advance that I'm embarrased to post this but what the heck, i'm among friends!!!

I'm a Kenny Chesney fan and saw him in concert recently and while I was looking at some recent pictures that were posted on this sight the song about the "Old Blue Chair" of his came on my ITunes and so I'm wondering... have any of you ever seen him while vacationing there or know any interesting tid bits of his living there? Just random thinking on my part, but I do love how he describes the feeling of being on St. John in that song and mentions Cinnamon Bay and it added so much to looking at the pictures! I think at least one of his albums was written in great part while he was there. Anyone know anything that will fuel my interest?

Okay both you and Theresa have forced me to extend this thread. Good memory Ronnie.

Yeah, I was dragged to one of his concerts last year. The venue sucked. Which meant the seating sucked. His music sucked.

But the beer was good and I do have to admit there were some cute girls there in their cowgirl hats.

Tomorrow it's the Playboy jazz festival. Now that's good.

Can't get the picture of a saxophone player with man-hair sticking out in all directions from pink satin, wearing perky rabbit ears, and a little puffy tail.

I guess, if he completed the look with eyeliner, lip-gloss, and pink satin high-heels it might be cute.

Definitely wouldn't want to see that driving a tractor.

Hope you can carry a tune Promo.
But, I noticed you admired the cowgirl's hats. Were you (I"m using Jane's format here),...
a] Wearing a "cowboy" hat?
b] Wearing a "cowgirl" hat?
c] Wearing pink satin bunny ears?????

Sweetie, when I go to a KC concert on the weekend, it's certainly not in any of those silly outfits you've described. You are such a silly girl.

Congrats Promo. It must feel good to finally be able to live in the body you've always envisioned for yourself. So, I expect you'll be IN the carnival parade this year. A true Carnival Queen. 😉

What a long, strange thread it is.

I notice that I apparently posted something on this thread in August 2006. It must be setting some sort of record, but what a dubious record it is.

Lex, It was either Yogi Berra or Casey Stengel that said, Dubious records are made to be broken.

Get that funny bone working again.

This is such a crazy world. Too many times, "too many times" in the present at least, we all feel confused, weirded out, angry, stressed, etc., etc. In need of each other, and some sort of teasing escape. Escape I think, is what vacations, moves, forums are about.

This thread, no matter how many people might be put off by it, has, in in my most humble opinion, exposed the human need to find something that is "fun". Be it so-called drivel, socially- politically in-correct , at odds at what this forum is supposed to be about to some, - it's really about folks who "were", "are", and "going to be" in the usvi on vacation from, social, political, work, personal every day stuff they need a "break" from, ----to me at least.

You can be a purist if you want when, it comes to people wanting to share on a forum. That's okay, I guess. But, it's a broad spectrum of folks you are putting some sort of party-pooper control over when, you keep track of "all the pages devoted to a stupid KC thread" on this or, another usvi forum.

If you choose to read this and judge it the way it was started or intended, and responded to, in a way which is undesirable to you then, "don't read it". Islander can pull it if he wants.

This was pure fun to read, and add to on my part. And, if you have a "board up yer arse" , I can't help but say, you'll probably need more than "tweezers" to pull it out!.....[ I want my family and friends to remind of that whenever they feel it's needed. Ha!!]

Threads always take on a life of their own because the people who read them, and add their opinions, or silliness to them, is what makes them worth-while to read.

The USVI is not the first place to add a famous face to their population, and they certainly won't be the last.
In my most, most, humble opinion, WE ARE ALL FAMOUS!!

Promo, and the others, it's way-yyyy been fun!!!! I'm up for giggles anytime, whether or not I'm on vacation!!! I love the Virgins.
