"Three years ago we talked about your Caribbean journey and how you found a sense of home and community in St. John. Can you bring us up to speed with the progress of that journey?

It’s changed for me a little. I wrote a record [Be As You Are] about my truth and a place that gave me a sense of place and a freedom I’d never found. But as a result, the freedom went away a little bit. I feel more eyes on me. I feel guilty for bringing attention to places that didn’t really need it. If I could do it over again, I wouldn’t give such a blueprint."

The entire interview can be found here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27069470/

I don't like Kenny Chesney songs - unless they are the island songs, then I love them.

After having spent just one beautiful magical week in STJ, I have an understanding of how he feels when he's there, and why he has to go back, and yes, even the sadness of knowing you're just going to have to tell everyone about this secret magical place you've found.

"I want to go where I can lighten up my load,
Drive a little while on the wrong side of the road -
...Where you can be tourist, a beach bum, or a star -
and be as you are"

"And I really hate having introduced Renée Zellweger to the island. What a big mistake it was. That biatch now tells all her friends about it and that's why it's so crowded down there and for that I apologize to everyone especially the St Johnians. What was I thinking"

Nothing wrong with Renee! It takes two to make a marriage work.

None of us know what really happened in that marriage.

EE: You mean Kelvin Chesney? OIr maybe who comes to mind is Kelvin Chenay who methinks is a bagger at either Plaza Xtra or CULess? Just can't put my finger on the name this late at night. CRS syndrome.

That's funny... I haven't noticed that STJ is especially busy.

To my knowledge I have never heard one of his songs, and I wouldn't recognize him if he was standing next to me. I just thought since he is periodically the subject of a thread on this forum, that it was interesting that he implied vacationing stalkers ruined STJ for him.

dnt-I don't know if your a guy or a gal but here's the scoop on KC and I ain't talking Sunshine band. My wife dragged me to one of concerts and thank god it was a hot night and beer tasted great.

If I was a single guy, I'd be hanging at any or all of his concerts. He's a chick magnet and let's face it guys, there's nothing like being around a place that attracts chicks but you know the attractor ain't getting any of the attractees. Lots of half decent and decent looking women. Some obviously frustrated mommies. So check it out.

I ain't so hot so I'd go with the crowd flow and hope to score. But I can't.

So don't ever say you wouldn't know him if he was standing next to you. Just check out the women that are next to him.

Promoguy - I have to go with dntw8up on this one. (dntw8up is a lady by the way but I guess you couldn't maybe for some reason tell that from her photo up there or else thought that photo was a shady sort of subterfuge alias mug shot designed to confuse the hoi polloi?) I too don't know his music, have heard only a few clips here and there and only became vaguely interested in him when his big media splash on STJ came about with the wedding and then with all the rest of it becoming a rather minor cause celebre.

No doubt he's a nice young man but even in my much younger days I doubt that I would have found him very appealing. Way short - oh sorry, one now has to describe short folks as being "vertically challenged?" Bald I have never had a problem with but hiding baldness under a big hat or a doo-rag or anything else is, to me, more than a bit suspect. The short is short but that serious hiding of bald?

Nothing against him at all but dntw8up's post says it all and KC's comments are on the record now.

Leave us not allow this post and thread to go on ad nausea about KC's contribution to the Virgin Islands and what it means.

His investment here became redundant when he intentionally put himself here in the spotlight. Major celebrities come and go here with no major hoopla and that's been the way for donkey's years. He thought he could mix and mingle with the locals - but when you're in a bar and carousing and inviting everyone out on your boat the next day - DUH?

Enough, I hope this thread dies a natural death and I won't be contributing to it any more. Cheers!

My, my, my and I thought it was a guy all this time.

But since my information is pretty general, if not down right disgusting, it still holds true for single guys. Hell, it holds true for married guys if they have the cojones to play...............

edited after I got a glimpse at the pix of dnt. Girlfriend and I mean this honestly and please don't take this the wrong way, and you definitely can tell me that I'm not the greatest looking person in the world, but if that is really you and it's kind of a small pix, you really need a lot of work. But I do love that tat on your wrist.
