had a blast last week as usual (week 25 Westin). I just wanted to recommend The Tap Room as another spot to have a great beer. Cheech is a really cool guy and it looks like they are thriving. I enjoyed the Summer Island Ale greatly.
We had dinner at Asolare and I noticed the bartender pouring gin all over the bar. Since this puzzled me I inquired and he told me it keeps the bugs away. "Better than Off"? I asked, "yep" was the answer. I never heard of that before so next year it will be a spray bottle full of cheap gin because the Off didn't do jack.....
My neighbors swear by a water-filled plastic baggie for keeping the flies away.

so do you put the bag of water AWAY from you and it draws the flies to it? or do they go in the bag and drown? how exactly does that work?
