Here's a quick pre Trip Report...
St. Thomas was beautiful, stayed at the Ritz, very nice ( I work in the industry and I can't comprehend spending that much money at a hotel, but if you've got it great! )
Good beach , great pool, resturants fair. Grounds wonderful.
Nice being so close to Red Hook.
Visited a couple beaches on St. Thomas , Saphire very nice, Magens bay BIG, Coki a little too crowed for my tastes , Coral world was worth it (get the coupon for $3 off)
Visted St. John, very nice Island , rained so didn't hit a lot of locations, but would go back to do more exploring.
Took the day trip to Virgin Gorda (The Baths) with Limnos Charters , that was a highlight for sure, best price we found , $80 per person? , with food and drinks, had a great time. New Horizions was quite a bit more with no food or drinks I belive.
Use caution when getting recommendations from locals , not that there bad , but it seemed they may be getting little kick backs when they reffer, so may not be in your best intrest , or at least when trying to find deals.
Hit some good great and Fair resturants...
Beautiful locations... Malfoie Hotel, Agave Terris, Blue Moon Cafe,
NEW RESTAURANT!
1 of our Favorite Restaurants, right next door from the Ritz at the Elysian Resort(sp?) "Roberts" good food right off the beach, the best part had to be the piano player at the bar, I think he's there Wed. Thurs. Friday. We had to get up to check to see that if it wasn't a Nate King Cole CD. Amazing .. Had a couple good nights there.
TIP: Pick up the Rotary Club coupon book $20, lots of 2 for 1's for breakfast lunch & dinner, found a lot of our favorit restaurants in there, and you hit smaller places you prob. wouldn't have gone too, we prob saved $150 .
Not that I need to now but I'll try to do a little more detailed trip report soon,
Thanks for everyones Tips and Advise.
Kevin: Loved your report. Sounds like you hit the highlights! I am glad you liked Coral World, as it is one of my favorites. After I went to the very expensive and famous aquarium in New Orleans, I decided we had a gem right here...
Re: your comment "Use caution when getting recommendations from locals , not that there bad , but it seemed they may be getting little kick backs when they reffer, so may not be in your best intrest , or at least when trying to find deals" Yes, you are right. The two groups that are especially bad are bartenders, who often get paid or free stuff from shops, day sails, etc. and the "barkers" downtown who are often paid by several shops to send people in. But you know, it is good advice to always be wary of advice!!! 😉 Hurry back now, y'hear!!!
Great report... glad you had a good time - it does sound like you hit a lot of the points of interest... The Baths are great like you said. Thanks for sharing!!

Currently in St. John you can get them, while they last, at The Rolling Pin, Pampered Pause Nail Salon, Kaleidoscope Video, Connections, and Appliances Plus. Also any Rotarian from St. John should have them.
In St. Thomas, you can find them at the Color of Joy across the street from The Elysian Hotel or any Rotarian from Rotary East.

Are there any restrictions on use of these coupons? For example, the hours, say before 6 or after 9 for dinner? Or dates - are they off season books, not good during high season, say mid Dec. to end of April?
I'm curious since I'm planning a trip next Easter during high season and wondered if it would be usable at that time.
Thanks for any info!
Bernie
Also what is the expiration date? 12/31/03? Sounds like a great deal even if there are some restrictions.
Expiration date is 12/15/03 and not valid 11/26 to 11/30. There are restrictions on some, no Fridays or no lobster, etc. You can easily get your $20 worth. And yes, they are for "low" season. They come out in May or so...
