I would like to hear everyone's advice on Jouvert on STJ.

I will be on STT in July and want to get to Jouvert on July 4 on St John. I've never been to Jouvert on STJ. Will the ferries have a schedule to allow STT residents/visitors to get to STJ in time for Jouvert? Or, should I try to stay on STJ the night of Jul 3?

What time does Jouvert begin? Where should I go? Does STJ celebrate Jouvert in the traditional style or is this a modified version?

How does STJ Jouvert differ from the carnival parades later in the day on July 4?

Help is most appreciated!
Thanks.

OK, I found the info that says Jouvert starts at 4am at the Tennis Courts.

Still unclear on everything else. Thanks.

It's your choice. Boats run all night long or you can stay the whole night and party! It's pretty short. Years ago it used to go around the town in circles about 3 times! Quite a hoot. Now they start at the tennis courts and tramp to Cruz Bay and stop. Takes a couple of hours!

Thanks Ronnie! I knew you would have the scoop.

P.s. I still owe you a night blooming jasmine - didn't forget!
