Anyone ever do the Jolly Roger pirate/snorkel excursion in Aruba? Going there in Dec. on Holland Am. Volendam; looks interesting, but would it be good with a nearly four year old in tow???? Any comments?? Book off the ship or just wing it??? Any comments appreciated!

I've done the Jolly Roger on Barbados and Antigua. Both were a blast. BUT, it's geared toward teenage and up. Lots of alcohol and the boat anchors in water deep enough to permit diving from as high up as you might want to go. There was a shuttle boat to the beach for those that wanted to swim from there. My only concern would be for your young one. It can get a little rowdy but not over the top. Have you tried the day care/camp the ship might provide? Our experience has been that preteens (8 yr. old) to mid teens have loved it on Carnival and Royal Caribbean.
Thanks, Bassman, sounds like we'll pass on that and just taxi to a good beach, want to teach our grandson to snorkel!! Any ideas out there for a good family beach in Aruba, clean, smoother waters??
Happy Caribbean!!
thanks bill, I'll check it out.........
There is a Jolly in Aruba. We have not been on it, but I have heard it is lots of fun!

Have a great time in Aruba-my DH and I love it there. Of course, that was before St John which is coming up in less than 2 weeks. Who knows, we might have a new favorite.
