Hello Sean,

St. Thomas' Charlotte Amalie and Havensight shopping areas are jewerly shopping meccas :). There is no doubt that your wife will find something(S) she likes and wants. Head to Charlotte Amalie for a day of shopping and hop from one store to the next (there are dozens and dozens....), compare prices as some places will carry the same pieces or similiar and bargaining can be done. You will find diamonds, pearls, emeralds, tanzanite... Really so many choices. Your wife will have fun looking around. Has she hinted at wanting anything in particular?

Have a great time, and congrats!

Im in a similar situation .... we are celebrating our 30th anniversary and will be in St. Thomas on April 26 only..... because we are on a cruise. I would like to know if someone could help me plan to pick up a "surprise jewelry gift" for my wife. So Naturally I would have to select the gift in advance and just come in quickly to pick it up. Any Ideas ?

When my husband & I spent out 25yr. wedding anniversary in St. Thomas this past Dec., he surprised me (with the help of Marty who has connections!!) with a beautiful ring called "Larimar". It reminds me everyday of the color of the water in St. Thomas!! (& his love!!)
Go to www.mylarimar.com & you can view the beautiful jewelry.

Congrats & I'm sure whatever you get for your wife she will love it!!

I've been going to St.Thomas for many years. I have a wonderfuland honest jewerler there and in fact I will be there April 22 and plan on making a stop myself to see what they have. We have bought diamonds rings, gold bracelets, earings, too many things to mention. We have always been extremely please with their prices and service. They are not pushy either. Ask for Sanjay at Grand Jewelers at #7 Main st. It's the about the first jewerly store on the right as you begin your shopping. It's small, but they have great stuff and you will also get an apprasial. They also have a website, I think it's wwwgrandjewelers.com. Also they are a recommended store by Princess Cruise Lines as well. If you go tell them Helen, the redhead from Arizona sent you. They also have another store in St Maarten as well.

He will also trade up any jewerly you may have purchased in the past. Many years ago when I couldn't afford anything bigger I got a two carat diamond tennis bracelet for $450. About 3-4 yrs. later Sanjay gave me full price of my bracelet and I upgraded to 5 beautiful carats. You can't beat that! Good luck.

You can buy the flip rings at Cardow's on main street next to the
main post office.
