I know St Thomas has plenty of fine jewelry, but are there any place where you can find hand made jewelry? Craft items and shells.
I love shells.
For stores with jewelry made from shells (but not made in the VI) or have finished shell components:
Southern Exposure in Havensight. They have mother of pearl, abalone, and maybe some other shells, with sterling pendants.
Captain's Corner stores in Havensight and town have shell/coral and sterling, but also shell and beads, and shell and cord.
Silver World/Silver City (or something like that) has shell/coral/pearl pendants.
Many of the souvenir stores have "gold" trimmed, natural shell pendants for about $2.99.
Some people make jewelry from sea glass. I think they have some (and I think somebody in the VI makes it) at el mundo caribe in Royal Dane Mall. They always have something interesting in there, so if it's not sea glass, it's still cute!
I was just out looking Sat, trying to decide if part of my stimulus check should go to some jewelry. Saw too many pretty ones to make up my mind so far!
