Can someone please give me some price info on clothes and jewelry? Just kinda what a price range, so I know how much money to bring.

Estimate in jewelry pricing would be nice - like 1/2 carat diamond band VVs1 & Vs1-2 quality...any ideas?

Hello CKMRR,

You can buy anything from a $10 silver toe ring to spending hundreds or thousands a piece on watches, rings, necklaces... Price ranges on jewerly would depend on what type of jewerly, stones, size, brand... And again cloths - what type of cloths; 5 for $10 t-shirts to $90 Nicole Miller ties; there is a huge range dependent completely on what you are looking for and the brand. So if you could be more specific about what you are looking for then perhaps folks can help with prices and where to find the best deals on what you are looking for.

I have seen rings in all ranges between 400-1200+ for around 1/2 (give or take) caret rings... the prices depended on design and if there were numerous stones or just one and material (yellow gold, white gold...).

Virtual Pirates Chest of booty awaits you here - from the stunning original designs of Netherlands born Goldsmith, Petrus Korver to the exquisite selections at H.Stern.

My suggestion therefore is decide ahead of time what limit you might choose to put on what you spend..........and come and enjoy the feast ! Plastic works just fine.

In January, I bought my wife a pendant designed by Korver. It is one of our favorite pieces of jewelry. However, I didn't know he was a movie star. It is a great and highly original piece.

Wow, Petrus and I popped on the net to give a brief hi to our friends on VINOW and we are stunned by the discussion of his work. Thanks all and thank you James for giving a glowing recommendation! He really does feel like a movie star. 😉

BTW, Loyal Reader if you are interested in seeing any of Petrus' work live and in person, some of his work is at The Jeweler's Workshop in Trompeter Gade (the alley that runs at Tommy Hilfiger).

"I didn't know he was a movie star." ?????? I didn't suggest that he is, but I'll certainly ask him the next time I see him if that is a hat he's worn that I haven't yet heard about - wouldn't surpise me - he's gotten around the world on the most amazing journey of anyone of ever encountered!

Onika, I didn't know the relationship prior to posting. But, I now realize I've met a family member. When we were buying the piece the gentleman at the store told my wife she could take it outside to look at it in the light. My wife asked how he knew we wouldn't just run with it. I said that he must know how fast we can run. He said he didn't know how fast we could run, but did know how fast the dog sleeping in the back could run :).
He explained that it was Petrus' dog and that it enjoyed the shop so much that it stayed around even when Petrus was not. We were set to catch the ferry back to St John and did not get to meet your husband because of timing, but he really is talented. My only complaint is that my wife has bought about a dozen chains looking for the perfect match. I think she has it right now, but I suppose I will eventually need to get some things to put on these other chains :).

Haha. The dog is Sydney. The world's most beautiful shelter special and SO not a guard dog.

Hey James, Petrus will be sending you further greetings off-board...hope you don't mind.

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
