Hi, looking to rent a jeep-type vehicle (i.e. convertible) that will seat 5 plus our snorkel gear, on St. Thomas. Would appreciate any leads, thank you!

try Budget Car Rental (I believe they provide a coupon book good for discounts at local restaurants and shops) or Dependable Car Rental, there is also Amalie Car Rental and a few others. There is a list of rental car places under getting around.

We're going to St. Thomas in July. I researched just about all the car rental agencies for a jeep. I found the best deal at Dependable Car Rental. Plus, you get a discount if you book on-line or tell them you found them on their website. I don't have the website address handy, but if you search U.S. Virgin Islands, you'll find them on some of those sites.

If you want to put that top down on the jeep, you had better check around. Most rentals won't allow the top down.
