Hi all.
There are 4 of us making our first trip to St John. We like the idea of renting a Jeep soft top, but not sure of the logistics. If we rent it at the airport I'm not sure how we could get 4 plus all the baggage to the ferry. If we rent it in St John, I suppose we could take a taxi to the ferry.
In either case in St John I suppose we could then make 2 trips to get the luggage since we aren't staying far from St John.
Or is driving a Jeep with a top off more trouble and expense than its worth?
With four people and luggage you would never fit in the wrangler. I would use a taxi from airport to the ferry to St John then a Taxi to your hotel - drop the luggage, have a drink, and then go get your wrangler. Some hotels will have them delivered so the last step may be eliminated. They are cool driving around St John for sure. They do rent larger jeeps with removable roof panels but the rental companies tell you not to remove them as they are concerned about the afternoon showers and the renter not putting the panels back on the roof.
