Global warming is really starting to tick me off! Here in the Washington, DC area, it is supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow! I have barely worn my winter coat this year.
Normally, this wouldn't bother me, but we are leaving for STT on Christmas Eve. I want it to be a shock to my system to go from the frosty north to the Islands! Not going from warm to warmer!!!
Sorry, I'll shut up now.
Although, the warm weather made it nice for us to sit out on the deck tonight and watch & listen to the local fire & rescue dept. do their annual Santa parade through the neighborhood. You could hear sirens & Christmas music for over an hour. The windows are open!!!
One week from tonight, I will be crashed on a chair outside of the Marriott after having a diving Christmas Eve dinner at Herve. I can't wait!!
I hope it at least gets really good & cold while you're gone. That's always nice to hear when you're sunbathing here.
Don't worry Ricmond. Temps are going to drop soon and I hope you get that island feeling when you step off the plane.
Richmond: I can't wait to hear about the diving dinner!! LOL How do you eat while you are underwater???
Ho, ho, ho!!
A Poem
No meter can measure the infinite pleasure
Of people in tropic resorts
As they squirm with delight
Through the sweltering night
At their hometown weather reports!
One day I will embrace the fine art of proof-reading!
I like that poem!
On the plus side, I am going to dust off the convertible in just a bit and take her out Christmas shopping!
