Guten tag Islander,

I posted this in someone's trip report, but thought you might have missed it:

"Hey Islander - Do you have any record of trip reports like you do for moving stories??? I am going to have to look around again. It would be great, but you may have to only keep them for 6 months or so since vacation stuff changes often."

Bluewater, KK, and others have recently done a heck of a job giving trip reports with pics. Are you planning any organizing of those reports? It would be great to be able to read straight thru them like we do the moving stories. (okay now I am just repeating myself - I am tired and I don't really speak much German...)

Would anyone else like to see the trip reports on another page to read at our leisure or is it just me?

dankashan (sp?),

Teresa

I personally like having them mixed, breaks things up.

However, I am really not into hearing about 'everything' someone does on vacation like, " just made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches today."

Love the pics!!!

DreamConch,

It wouldn't be a part of the message board, but rather a separate 'page' of the website. Similar to how the relocation message board and moving stories are currently. Just an easier read and still informative way of doing it.

I think Islander is on vacation as this post was bumped to the second page without a comment from him/her.

Just as long as there are trip reports, I'm happy. I go looking for them everytime I come on these boards. If I can't be there full time in STT, or STJ, then i live through those reports.

Great idea!

Hello,

It is definitely a great idea and is actually in the works. Our first try turned out not to be user friendly so we scraped it, then had to put the project aside for a while to work on some other stuff. Still on the table though so stay tuned.

Thanks,

Thanks Islander! I look forward to it! Even though I feel I know a bit about the island, reading trip reports about restaurants, hotels, taxi's, etc. will really be a benefit to my vacation. If I miss a few days of reading the board, I miss parts one and two (for example) of the trip reports and it requires some digging to get the whole story. I hope you include the pic links as that helps a lot and is entertaining!

How was your vacation? 😉
