Has anyone had any experiences with the Island View Guest House/Mountain Inn? Any opinions? What beach do you visit? How's the drive up to the inn (assuming it's at the top of a mountain)? Anything? 🙂

My partner and I, along with another couple, will be coming down over Thanksgiving for a basketball tournament at UVI.

We were planning on using the Entertainment Book discount at Secret Harbour, but I just got an email back from them today that they don't accept this discount over Thanksgiving (or for 2BR or for reservations more than 30 days in advance... *sigh*).

This trip is most definitely a splurge for all of us, so we're looking for a really inexpensive 2BR suite. And Island View looks like our best bet. (And it's relatively close to UVI.)

I just don't remember seeing much on the message boards about it and thought I'd ask.

Thanks for any help you can provide!
Erin 🙂

Hello Erin,

The closest beaches to Island View Mountainside Inn are Emerald and Brewers Bay. Emerald is by the airport and Brewers by the university.

The drive isn't bad, the whole island is mountainous 🙂 so the drive is much like any of the others. Its on the side of a mountain overlooking the southside of the island/town/Nisky.

Its not discussed often but its a good choice. The new owners took it over I think about a year ago and have done a good job as far as I have heard.

Be sure to share your thoughts if you do stay there.
