I've been to STT twice on cruises and loved the music we've heard. I guess it's raggae... Any how, are there any local bands or artist that have cut CD's and are available in music stores in the states? I have 2 raggae cd's. One by the Tamlins and The Mighty Diamonds, and one by Lashing Dogs. Any other good bands from the islands with CD's available? Thanks. Tony
www.mtneborecords.com---there are a few there which are really nice...army, bambu station, niyorah, pressure, abja, dezarie--most of these are local artists

For St. Thomas music, check out the local stores like Music Shoppe and Modern Music. FYE in Tutu Park Mall also keeps local and Caribbean music.
If you've already left you should consider ordering online from Parrot Fish Music - http://www.parrotfishmusic.com.
Parrotfish is an excellent choice either in person or over the internet.
If you want to try the official music of the VI, quelbe, the two most notable artists are Stanley & the Ten Sleepless Knights and Jamesie. Jamesie has a new CD out. Not bad for an 80 year old guy from STX. Both have numerous prior releases.

Hello,
I had found this website a few months ago that discusses Reggae artists from the VI, their albums, general information and you can listen to the music on it also.
