Looking for the best way to get from St. Thomas over to St. John, Trunk Bay. Coming in on a cruise ship in June and the ship has an excursion, but we are looking to go it on our own so we aren't tied to a set time

Taxi to the ferry in Red Hook, get on the ferry...ride over...grab a taxi to Trunk...you could try the Charlotte Amalie ferry, but it takes longer and doesn't go as often...
