My friends and I live on St. Croix and wanna do a little island hopping throught USVI and BVI...low budget, 4 people. Thinking of staying at Maho and ferrying it around BVI's? Any suggestions? peace
If you take Limnos Charters, they'll take you to The Baths of Virgin Gorda and the caves of Norman Island in the BVI and have you back to STT by 5 p.m. Is that enough hopping? You might be able to take either a Sea Flight or Seabourne flight early in a.m. from STX and take the late flight back. Take a cab to the marina, and be on your way.
I can't remember what time Limnos leaves, so it may not be doable on same day from STX, but maybe.
If not, you'd have to spend the night. I've never done Maho, but it gets good reviews. I'd prefer to stay in town at the Tamarind Tree Inn, because you could then bar hop as well as island hop!
