Does anyone know anything about or have experience staying in either of these 2 villas? Location information? Reviews? I'm a first-time St. John visitor next May and am having a difficult time deciding on a villa. Any advice for a first-timer? Thank you for any help.

Pogg,

Astral Ridge is out of this world. We went for the first time this past February and absolutely positivly loved it. Astral Ridge is a slice of heaven. The owners have gone so far out of their way to not miss a beat. They have a beautiful location.....secluded up on the mountain side, your own pool, hot tub, outdoor showers....Crate and Barrel, Company Store, William Sonoma filled house...It's amazing. We were there for a week and the only reason we left the villa was to see the island, we struggled everyday whether to stay at the villa and just enjoy the beautiful place or venture out and see the island. We loved it so much we are going back this Feb.

If you want more info or have further questions e-mail me direct [email protected] and I'll answer any questions you may have.

One thing with Astral is you absolutely positevely have to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle....!

Hey Jill, Was Astral Villa really private? You know, tan all over private? It looks great judging by the pictures.

Hum.....Island Dream looks really nice but very small. OK for 2 people though I think. Astrial Ridge looks very nice but I don't know if they rent parts of it out so you may not be there alone. If you had the place to yourself I'd vote for Astrial Ridge if not I'd say Island Dreems looks really cute.

Yes, Astral Ridge is very private. Although there is another cottage on the property you'd never know it unless you spent your entire vacation in the shared parking lot. From Astral Ridge you see their roof and from the cottage (our villa rental rep took us there prior to checking in so we could see what they could and couldn't see) you can see absolutely nothing of Astral Ridge. Let's just say if it weren't for going to the public beaches I'd have returned home with absolutely NO tan lines!
