I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the island beachcomber hotel. I've read reviews on other sites that said it is a nice place. I was wondering what the air traffic is like being that it is right by the airport. Also, how is the food/bar there? Is the beach good for lounging around, snorkeling, etc.? I can get a good deal for a stay there, I'm just wondering if it will be worth it.
It is a nice place. The air traffic can be heard during the day if you are on the beach, but not too bothersome. No air traffic at night. The food is pretty good. The beach is lovely, not good for snorkeling but great for lounging.

My wife and I stayed there on our first visit to St. Thomas in 1995. We asked for a downstairs with a water view and got it. The Jets did not bother us. There's not that many of them. We really enjoyed our visit there. The People are really nice and most of them we talked to at the beach Bar have been coming back for years. While we there we bought a time share at Bluebeards Castle and since then we have been staying there.
We still go back to The Beachcomber to enjoy the Beach and the company.
