Hello,

I am looking for information on the Island Beachcomber hotel. I cannot find anything good or bad about it. I am definitely staying on St. Thomas for a few days (I am going to all the islands). Please let me know something if you can. Thanks for your help.

Paul

Paul,

We stayed next door to the island beachcomber when we were stuck on St. Thomas because of the whole 9/11 travel problems.

The hotel looked "rustic". It is definitely not luxury but it is on a nice beach that a lot of folks who live on the island frequent.

Here is a link to their web site. http://www.st-thomas.com/islandbeachcomber/

Hope this helps.

Doug

About how far is it from the Beachcomber to the Charlotte Amalie waterfront area? Is it a walkable distance? We used to stay at the Admirals Inn in Frenchtown, but I understand that it's no longer open. We're hunting for a comparable place to stay.

The Beachcomber and the other hotel there are about a 5 minute drive. Perhaps it would take 20 minutes to walk it, more or less depending on how in shape you are or how fast you walk. Yes its walkable or you can take the bus. It would be a good walk, good excercise.

Thanks! We generally do a lot of walking and on our last visit we walked from Frenchtown to Havensight and back (making stops along the way!)Thanks for the suggestion on the bus, I had forgotten about that! Is that the same bus that would go all the way out to Coki Point?
