Has anyone got experience(s) to share about using an iPhone on St. John? iPhone works with our local Cingular/ATT service, but iPhone is not for sale down here. I am considering buying one stateside to use in the VI.

Hi,I am not sure about St.John but mine works on STX but I have a stateside acct. But that said, I have to say that I have two of them and they don't pull in a signal as well as the Nokia I used to have and often in an area that should have a signal it doesn't and I have to cycle it off and back on so it will look for a tower.I probably would not buy one again even though I like Mac products and the phone has some nice features,as a phone it is lacking, maybe the new one is better maybe not but it does not seem to be an issue with a Blackberry.

They work fine on St John any place that you have ATT service available. You can now by one online or from apple and activate it with a 340 area code. We have the first generation that uses the Edge network. I haven't heard if the new 3G network is in place here yet.
