Hello!
I'm Joanna and I'm from Poland. I'm coming to US Virgin Islands for a one year Internship in August. Will you tell me what should I take with me and what should I leave at home ;-)? I'll be grateful for all advices.
My Internship will be in Magens Point Resort, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.

Joanna: Welcome! You should check out the Relocation board (click above to the right) as it is a wealth of information for people who are living or will be living in the Virgin Islands. Magens Point has a nice little wine bar/sushi spot!

It does? I know Shin Sen closed a couple of years ago when the owner opened her venture in Frenchtown, but I didn't know another sushi place replaced it.

Yes, the latest restaurant in that spot, "Acacia", has a wine/sushi bar.

I'm more curious as to what sort of an "internship" Magens Point would be offering ...

As Res sez, the old sushi place is now a wine bar. They have wines by the glass with small sushi plates at happy hour. I haven't eaten at the restaurant, but the two places seem more connected now. I think you can order off either menu.
