Hello Islanders,
This March will be my first trip to the Islands and I will only need to access the internet one time while on the Island at At Home in the Tropics in Charlotte Amalie, is it worth my bringing my laptop or will I be able to find a pc somewhere?
Staff members back home won't miss me as long as I process payroll while I'm gone. 🙂
Any info would be helpful, especially if I don't have to lug my laptop with my sunscreen.
Thanks
I'm not sure of the internet access in the downtown area but I know that there are a few spots in Redhook, Picasso's in Smith Bay and a Greek/Pizza resturaunt up by Cost-U-Less that has internet access. You would need to bring your own laptop. Hopefully someone knows more about the downtown area.
Have a great trip,
Molly
Martha: Many of the hotels have access. Where are you staying?
Downtown - Beans, and Bytes coffee and internet in Royal Dane Mall.
Crown Bay - can't remember the name of the service there but is next door to Tickles. They have computers and access.
Almost all the hotels now have either DSL ethernet or wireless so if you're staying in a hotel, I say bring the laptop.
Martha, have you asked the inn keeper whether they have Internet access/computer on the property that you could use? The place in Crown Bay that Pamela mentioned in her post is called Messages, Mail and More.
East Ender - Martha mentioned in her post that she is staying at: At Home in the Tropics. It's a B&B above town. 😉
