Once we get to St. Thomas how do we make arrangements to take an inter island flight to St. Croix? What airlines and how do we contact them? Thank you

you can get a flight to st. croix by sea plane from down town charlotte amal the flight service is on the water front
ferry is also available from the same area

American Airlines also makes this connection, and so do some of the commuter airlines. You can do this from the airport - just walk up to the counters for the communter airlines or call the sea plane that goes from town to town without the airport. Ferry service also does this.
