As we blogged about last week, Old Stone Farmhouse closed and managers Rick and Jackie replaced all the Indigo employees with Old Stone. Today Rick and Jackie are without a job as Indigo has closed.

Hi,

I thought the Old Stone is just closed for the summer to do renovations and will reopen in the fall?

Thanks for your input

I thought so also. As far as Indigo goes it was the hot spot for a while. I hope that they will reopen.

It's not uncommon when restaurants close (particularly in the case of those which are managed rather than owner-operated) for the owners to say that the place has closed down for renovations/refurbishing, etc. No doubt Old Stone will re-open under new management - as it has done in the past.

The closing of Indigo comes as no big surprise. Once Kirsten and Ryan left to open their, "Thirteen" and Katie opened her sushi business at "Enkai" it just wasn't the same. No doubt something else will open up there. As the island turns!

Old Stone is rumored to re-open in November and will definitely be under new management as Rick and Jackie are out of both places. Indigo will be re-branded as a new restaurant, menu and Executive Chef (she is currently the chef at Shinsen).
