Finally! after 8-9 months of planning and anticipation, its here!! we'll head up to Columbus (actually Dublin, OH) to stay with sis-in-law, and then our flight leaves at 6:20am on Thursday.
Shorts and tanks - check
flip flops- check
passport - check
called credit cards - check
got cash - well hubby is getting it tomorrow
will print out boarding passes tomorrow -check
printed out list of restaraunts and phone numbers - check
got manicure and pedicure - check

sipping a rum drink now and trying to chill! Thanks to all who have answered questions and gave advice on this board. It's unreal how much I've learned from this. I promise to write a long trip report to repay all the others I've enjoyed these last months!

Now, I just hope our little black and white boy (i.e. border collie) will be OK without us for a week. Son's girlfriend is taking care of him for a few days, the boys will be home on weekend.

I'll try to get lots of pics for you guys!

She is right! I used two pairs of flip flops/sandals out of the five I brought. Never once wore my capris or jackets - and if you need one, they have cute ones in Charlotte. Bring more sunscreen than you think and bug spray. We got back on 4/14 and all of us are still discovering new bites. Good thing on the passport. They asked for it in every airport that we checked into.

Mountaineer....have a great time, relax and enjoy yourself. Keep a diary of sorts for us so that we have EVERY detail. Where you went, what you did...any out of the way places you discover.

I have 23 more days to go...when it gets down to 14 days..then i get serious on what to bring.

Enjoy!

Hey Mountaineer Girl, we too are leaving Thursday from Columbus, Ohio! We are leaving Mansfield tonight for a stay at the Baymont Inn at the airport. What airline are you flying? We are flying US AIR to Philly and then on to St.Thomas and then St. John. Our flight leaves Columbus at 6:45 am.

Have a wonderful vacation!

Maybe we will run in to each other somewhere.

Denise

cvwood left out the second half of his advice...

Unpack half your clothes and take twice as much money!

Have a great trip! Can't wait to hear about it when you return!!!
