Alexander's instead of Craig and Sally's. Herve's only if he opens the doors! Inn at BlackBeard's and Room with a View. Romano's for Italian, Raffles, Cafe Wahoo and definitely Blue Moon Cafe. More casual is Bonnie's on the beach at the Elysian and lots of people enjoy Dotties at Compass Point. Caribbean Saloon, Whale of a Tale and don't forget Seafood Jungle. Not to be missed Old Stone FarmHouse. And for local either Cuzzins or Gladys but I think I prefer Cuzzins! Good place for breakfast and lunch is Grateful Deli in Red Hook. Hear good things about Azure at Sapphire but haven't tried it yet.

I went to Sibs for the first time last year and had a great time and the food was wonderful. Say hi to Kevin the bartender if you go. We got to sit in the gazibo as we had a group of 6 so that added to the fun. I also went to Dotties for the first time. She is a hot ticket and the food was also worth the trip. Seafood Jungle was our first stop this year as we met up with a group that stays in touch through out the year. It was a great way to spend the first night on the island especially after five hours in the air. And of course Duffy's Love Shack on St. John. But then again how can I ever forget the Green House (say hello to Doug). Does anyone know the name of the place that is where Polly's used to be? We had a nice lunch there one day.

Okay, East End spots... Sopchoppy's for pizza and informal dining. Arthur's for baby back ribs and his seafood sundried tomato pasta, Azure especially for Thai night (Thursday), Latitude 18, Blue Moon's soups and rum glazed salmon. Other (non-East) favorites- Alexander's, Stone Farmhouse, Randy's, Pizza Amore, Cuzzin's. I know I have surely missed a few.

oh wow! time for vacation ... scratch Cafe Wahoo ... it's now Off the Hook. Half of the former Cafe Wahoo (and the other half is on St. John in Pusser's old spot!). Sorry 'bout that ... Arthur makes one of the best pina coladas but last time the ribs were a bit disappointing ... not meaty enuf according to my better half but really a delightful family spot! Anxiously awaiting reports on the "new" restaurant at Mafolie ... what a view! Ron? Anyone?

Hi There,

Lots of good places mentioned above. Two more to add to the mix are Mim's at Watergate, Glenda's in Smith Bay and Virgilio's downtown.

OK, so I can't count.......remembered the last one while typing this. Virgilio's is not open air, but you will remember the decorations for years after you eat there......and the food's good also.
