Has anyone stayed at Ilios on St. John? We're getting married on Trunk Bay in June and we rented that house for our vacation. Is it as great as the pictures make it look?

Actually it is better than the pictures--new furniture, new louvered windows--very, very comfortable! I can easily recommend it.

We're very excited to check it out...two more months and we're there. How recently did you stay there? Any advice you can give me as far as what I need to bring (that the villa doesn't already provide)?

Thanks!

We stayed there last week. Everything you will need is there, including beach towels. Just bring sunscreen! If you have any particular questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

We stayed there a couple of years ago and it was great. Huge patio area and a nice size pool that is 5' deep at the shallowest part. Has a good view and the breezes were cool enough at night.

It is nicer than the pictures show. Town is a couple of miles and it is on the Atlantic side, so the nice beach is on the other side of the island. There is a house above it and they get upset if you drink too much and laugh too loud. The master bath is pretty neat too.

I notice these postings are kind of old, but I'm intriqued. We are trying to chose a place to stay. Is there a path to the beach at Ilios, and if so, is it a difficult one?

Adam,

We stayed there 2 years ago and the bedrooms are separate areas/bilding......make it great with kids and couples.

Please note there is NO A/C, just celing fans....those not accustomed to our heat/humidity may find it a touch warm. We were used to island living and LOVED it. You can walk to the beach from the place.....but there are plenty of beaches on St. John that are close by to make it heaven.

MUST have a rental car to get around tho'. It will help!

How private is the pool area? We like to go skinny most of the day.

We just stayed there in June and loved. It. No problem going skinny. There are houses around but as far as I could tell, they can not see you.
