After reading about Carnival Night on Wednesdays at Iggies at Belongo Bay on another thread, I'm thinking it'd be great fun to go while I'm on STJ in March. Couple of questions though.
- How far is Belongo Bay from Red Hook?
- How far is BB from Charlotte Amalie?
- Approximate taxi cost for 2 of us?
- Any other way to get there?
- Will I easily be able to get a taxi from there back to Red Hook when it's time to head back? I am assuming I'll have to leave there by about 11:00 to get the last ferry back to STJ, correct?
So many questions! Thanks for any and all info!

I am going to refer you to a helpful map I found for both St.THomas and St. John. It is not far from the ferry dock in Red Hook to Bolongo Bay Resort according to the map. I believe if you are taking the ferry from St. Thomas back to St.John you have until midnight to catch the last ferry. It is 11pm for those of us leaving St.John back to St. Thomas.

Let me know what the party is like because we want to go in April.

It taked about 10 to 15 minutes by passenger car to get from Bolongo to the ferry. There are almost ALWAYS taxis available at the resort, as they know there are visitors from other resorts attending the show. Bolongo is about the same distance from Havensight, but not Town (Charlotte Amalie/waterfront area)

kraushaus is correct - the last ferry from STT to STJ is midnight. One suggestion to make embarkation easier - purchase your return fare when you buy the fare over....then all you have to do is hand your ticket to the gate personnel. Another helpful hint - if you like your driver, get his CARD!!! Any of the staff at Bolongo will be more than happy to call a specific driver for you. They may appreciate the repeat business =). I don't know right off hand about the fare, but I suspect they are listed in one of the dropdown menus at the top of the page.

Thanks you guys,
It sounds like it a lot of fun and will be easy to do, even from STJ.
Manta... great tip about the ferry ticket... I will be sure to do that. I've been to STJ 3 times before, but my only experience with STT has been a ride to the ferry from the airport and back.
Kraus... If indeed we do it, I'll let you know how it is. Are you staying on STT or STJ?

We are staying in a condo off the East End of St. Thomas called Cabrita Point. When I first started planning the trip I thought we would be able to walk to the Red Hook ferry dock but the condo owner said there really was not safe way to do that.

Dawn & Kraus,
I'll post about it when my depression subsides after I get back from STJ... hmmm, that might be way after both of you are gone and back! LOL
In the immortal words of someone else on this board, I will have to wean my way off this board when I get back!
