Hi everybody! I am arriving in St. Thomas in September and I just wanted to alert others that many of the boats for dail sails will not be running during September and October. Ten months is a long season and many of the captains like to get their boats out of the water to work on them, oh yeah, it's hurricane season too. LOL In any case, I spoke with Captain Phil of the Wayward Sailor and he gave me a number to call regarding schedules of all the boats. I spoke with a very nice lady and she told me to call when I arrive and she will have a better idea of who is sailing at that time. Hopefully, someone will be sailing because I'd sure hate to miss out on that. Or, as I told Captain Phil, I will just have to come back (oh darn!) during the season (I haven't even been there yet!) If you would like the number of the lady I spoke with, just shoot me an email. 8 weeks and counting! Gosh, I started counting at 42 weeks! Thanks to all of you who have made planning my trip so much fun.
I am not sure my private message is working so I will post the number to call for the sailing schedule in September. 340-776-6922. Ask for Sydney.
Thanks bosie!
I am pretty sure Captain Pat on Ike Witt and Captain Ron on the Alaunt both sail out of St. Thomas year round and I believe they will pick you up on STJ. Captain Phil of the Wayward Sailor is great too. We sailed with all three of them in April and had a wonderful time with each one.
You're right kraushaus, both Captain Pat on the Ike Witt and Captain Ron on the Alaunt will sail. Captain Phil's Wayward Sailor will be out of the water. I am waiting on a couple of more replies, but at least it looks like a few folks do sail in the months of September and October. 59 days and counting...
I never would have thought that the day sails would be hard to come by in sept. We will be in St. Thomas on the 10th and a day sail is on the top of my list.
