Jim, I haven't been up to Manayunk in years!! There's plenty of places down near the water.

Have a great dinner!

Happy Birthday!

And please DO let us know how you like your camera. I'm desperate to get one for Christmas for our upcoming February trip.

Happy Birthday!

Test the camera in the swimming pool, before you arrive!

I've been looking at that exact same camera and thinking it's a possible Christmas list item in prep for our trip down next year. Gotta go back amd get a picture of that shark that cruised by me at Francis Bay last year! Please let us know how it works and post some pics for all us envious types.

Have a great time!!

(Only 8 months, 14 days,...aw, never mind...only 'too damn long' to go :X )

I have the Olympic SW and I love it! Only drawback is that it's sometimes hard to see the viewfinder underwater to take your pics. I just take lots and lots of them, the quality is outstanding. Another thing is to make sure that you rinse it off with fresh water, I'm on my second one because I didn't do as I was told, the saltwater dries out the gaskets.

Happy birthday, I turned 40 in July, I'm officially in my f'in years.

Just got back from spending the weekend in STT, had a great time, but lent out my camera to my dad for his trip to Egypt so unfortunately I don't have any recent pic's to post to show the quality of the pictures.

Have a great time!

I bought the same camera for my wife and she had a great time with it and took a mountain of photographs. She had one problem with it indicating "open battery compartment" after she jumped into the water. I found that you had to be very cautious when you open and close any of the small "doors". Do not simply slam them shut but rather retract the latch, press the door down (after checking the gasket) and slid the latch to the locked position. I agree that it isn't always easy to see what you are taking a photo of or how it came out but with a 2meg XD memory chip you can over shoot. Now I'm looking for a deal on an underwater housing for it so she can take it diving.

I bought my camera at Boolchand's, they have a downtown store and one at Havensight Mall. If you don't find one stateside you can probably get one on island.
