We will be visiting my sister who has a house on St.John the last week of June and I am trying to avoid taking alot of stuff on the plane with us. We have a 2 yr old and it is amazing how much stuff they use. I am sending down a box this week with a backpack carrier and booster seat in it. We are renting a van on St.Thomas that will have a car seat in it, but I can't figure out what to do about playpen to sleep in. I have been told "no problem, I have a friend who can borrow one for you", but being the never go without plan B..is there anywhere I can rent one...just in case?
We plan on going to Kmart after we land and get a cheap umbrella stroller for flat land and diapers etc, but my head is spinning. this week will be over before I know it and I never had so much to plan before. It was always, grab a bag with shorts, tanks, and go...Help!
When our one-year-old granddaughter visited last year we had to buy a playpen at K-mart. We couldn't find one to rent. After she left, we donated it to charity. We live on STX.
Hello Marcella,
Ditto Ric's suggestion of buying one from K-mart.
Some of the villa agencies have baby gear for rent, so perhaps if your sister is friends or knows someone that works at a villa management agency she might ask them.

Thanks for the help.I'm still trying to track down my sister to confirm the playpen. I think I've narrowed down the gear to a beach shade tent, folding booster seat and a backpack carrier. I'll definitely find out about the villa playpens from my sister.I can't wait to go and I know it will be over so soon.
