Good day to all...my parents, boyfriend, and I will be visiting the beautiful STJ in Nov. for my brother's wedding.
My mom & I have our villas narrowed down to: 1. Odessa, 2. Blue Tang, 3 & 4. Hibiscus or Idyllic 5. Mar de Amores, and 6. Glenmar. I really want someplace with the best views of the water & prefer to hear the waves when I go to sleep...any opinions out there?

Amy you should check out Bongo Bongo, it has 40' pool and great view of St. Thomas. This a new villa! www.carefreegetaways.com. They also have great site showing the whole building process. www.bongobongostjohn.com.
If you want the sound of the waves, I think your ownly choice would be Odessa, and even then it may be faint.
Bluue Tang would be my choice, although I have not stayed in any of them.
Six of us stayed in Glenmar last July. Very far from ocean and would need a car. Way up in mountains w/ a beautiful view but lots of blood suckers flying around even inside.
