I am trying to sort through so much info regarding how to get from island to island. Can someone update me? It seems that the "fast ferry" is NOT in operation right now. I just saw something mentioned about the hydrafoil, and that it "must be reserved".
Can anyone confirm if that is a possibility? The only other way I see to get from St. Thomas to St. Croix is by Seaplane, which only the higher priced seats are available.
(We are ariving this Saturday)
THANKS!

The hydrofoil does not exist anymore. They left around 1999 I think. Your only option is the seaplane or Cape Air. The seaplane might be cheaper though, but I am not sure.

one other option would be to book a private flight between the islands. Private plane rates are per round trip the plane has to fly to get you to and from the destination. If you can fill all the seats on the aircraft, this sometimes is cheaper than commercial flights on a per person basis, depending on if the plane makes one round trip or two.
