Does anybody have any information about Hull Bay? Love seeing new beaches on STT when we go and wanted to know exactly what it's like. Snorkeling? Food? The beach in general. Any shade trees?

There is a bar/restaurant set back from the beach- Hull Bay Hideaway. Excellent burgers and other items. Great bar and "characters". They have live music at times on the weekends., horseshoes and pool for entertainment. This is the closest to a BVI-style beach bar that there is on St Thomas. There is a snorkel/scuba business run by Homer Calloway, long time scuba instructor who lives at Hull Bay. He does a kayak/snorkel and a night snorkel when conditions allow. When it is rough, Hull Bay is where the surfing action is. There are some sea grapes for shade, BYO chair...

Thank East. It sounds right up our alley and I wanted to see some more beaches when we're there in a couple of weeks.

We spent the weekend watching the surfers at Hull Bay... rough seas and great waves. A lot of people bring there dogs to the beach there.... and although there is no dock there are a lot of boats anchored. I've heard the snorkeling is great. Truly a beautiful spot! Hull Bay Hideaway is fun, good food, hammock chairs, pool tables, volleyball... what more could you ask for? One of my favorite spots on St . Thomas.

Hull Bay is definitely different than most beaches here. During the week it is very quiet....not many people, tho a few. The fishermen come in there and it can be fun to see what they have brought in. I personally don't find it a great snorkeling spot, but I always see families of squid there when I do snorkel! The locals often come after work and hang out and it is a nice spot on the weekends as well! Still nothing like Magen's with the boom box's blaring! The bar is a nice spot to hang quietly with the locals and it is very enjoyable.
Connie, don't miss it!
On rt 37, Hull Bay Rd., there is also a good restaurant that shouldn't be missed! North Drop has great food and another more local scene. Best to go if it isn't raining as you can sit outside on the deck. You can sit inside if it is raining, but I like the out of doors better!
The name of this restaurant is very appropriate as this is where we like to go to fish!

Connie,
The guys can get a nice buzz cut while they are here! Ed's Barber shop sits in the parking lot in a white truck! Unique! 😀
