First time visitors coming to St. Thomas in two weeks we were really worried about the weather with all the hurricanes. Just coming for a short trip for our anniversary so hoping to have nice beach weather. Also we fly into St. Thomas from North Carolina is it easy to get to the Marriott new resort from the airport or do we have to take a ferry to get there. Any info on getting to the resort and around the area would be great.
Too hard to predict the tropical weather 2 weeks in advance, but tropical storms activity is usually busiest in August and September and winds down in October. We were there last weekend, and although the weather was hot in the day in town, the nice breezes at the beach make for a great day.
The Marriot (I'm assuming Frenchman's Reef) is very easy to get to from the airport, if you are renting a car they will provide you with a map. Traffic in town may be busy and a little tricky but the road out of town is pretty easy, just follow Frenchman's Bay Road and watch for the signs. If you are not renting a car they will have van's ready and waiting at the airport to take you to your hotel.
Happy Aniversary!
