It works well, and used by a lot of residents. AT&T has better island wide coverage than the other main carrier, Sprint. I have noticed that AT&T has some weird dead zones thought. If you don't have service in one spot, try walking a few feet in one direction or another and try again. The only think you really have to watch out for is International Roaming. Sometimes when you are on the North Shore, or East End, you will hit a BVI tower. The rates can be very high for international roaming, but most phones will allow you to turn off international roaming. If you can't figure it out, just call AT&T, they will help you.
