Last time i went from stj to vg on the ferry for a "day" trip. It wasn't a long enough stay. lol lol Could anybody tell me the best way to get the most daylight hours on VIRGIN GORDA? And an approximate (guess) at the cost? Thanks:o)
I looked into some of the charters (Limnos, Stormy Petrel, etc.) vs. the ferry and found that taking the ferry gives you the most time on VG.
Ferry to Virgin Gorda runs only on Thursdays and Sundays - Ferry Service between St. Thomas and Virgin Gorda cost $50 round trip and the trip takes about 1 3/4 hour. It leaves St. Thomas at 8 am and returns from Virgin Gorda at 3pm. Taking the ferry allows you to drive around the island and stay for what ever period you would like at the baths within reason in terms of getting back to the ferry dock. The ferry leaves from Red Hook on St. Thomas. The Baths are beautiful and very enjoyable!!. Have a great time. If you take a charter they are great but have a planned day for you so you are limited to the time they allow at the Baths which is the spot they usually stop at.
