i almost hate to ask since i have been off the board several months but would love to know
needless to say many of us (my family included) went through a lot a couple years ago....how is the crime now....have there been any more incidents in st thomas with tourists at hotels etc...

In her original post, Ginger should have stated she'd been back to the islands twice since the incident. That fact alone, speaks volumes.

Ah yes, blame the victim. They are always the wrong ones, and deserve to be killed for being a victim!
Not blaming the victim at all, I wish all of those events never happened and I wish we had no crime. I'm just saying use common sense as you would at home, this is not a crime free Utopia. People tend not to pack their common sense when they travel.
