Hi, I'm new and I don't know if this topic's been covered recently, but Is there any other source besides Caretaker's magazine to find available house sitting opportunities on St. John or Jost Van Dyke islands? If I can avoid the $30.00 fee for Caretaker's, that would be great! Does anyone know privately of such a situation? Time period would be any time from now to Sept. 2006. Thank you!

These are usually done by word of mouth around here, and I would bet there is a line longer than you want to see!

Jost van Dyke is in the BVI and if you are not a belonger, work is difficult to get there. There are lots of houses to sit on St John for around $5000 per week! 😉

Second and third Ronnie and East Ender who were very kind to respond. Pay the $30 to Caretakers and take your chances but make sure you have impeccable references to hand. Who knows but you might get lucky. Cheers!
