$100/night limits you to the smaller places. PLaces like The Galleon House, Bunker Hill Hotel, Pirate's Cove, Holiday in, Best Wester Emerald Beach, etc. You won't much on a beach for that price, but the island is only 13 miles long X 3 wide, so everything is close!

No place with regular bonfires that I am aware of on STT.

mani: I notice you have several posts about not too expensive stuff...If you are in Tampa, you will find the VI is expensive compared to that which you are accustomed. St John is more expensive than the other two islands. You might want to check out Bolongo Bay Beach Club- no bonfires (and I don't know of any on St Thomas, they aren't very environmentally friendly, quite honestly) but they have beach volleyball and basketball under lights, kareoke, beach bar, etc. There is a fire show at Paradise Point on Saturday nights currently.

As mentioned STT is more expensive than the Tampa area but I think you can find closer to what your looking for on STT. You'd be bored on STX for sure & probably even STJ.
