Hi Terri,

Hi There,

I did not think that there was any horseback riding on STT since Half Moon Stables shut down a few years ago. I was recently informed that I was mistaken. I am told (do not have personal experience) that there is a stable on the same sight as the old Half Moon Stables next to the St. Thomas Dairy. They supposedly only give lessons and don’t offer casual riding. I am also told that there is a stable in Smith Bay that does offer some riding options. I was told that one could call Carol at 690-3896 to inquire. Again, I have not personally tried either.

Good Luck

Schultz

I live just above Magens Bay, and I can see the dairy and where Half Moon used to be from my deck. I have not seen a person riding a horse in over a year. Maybe it's just my timing? Not sure, but I don't think they are doing it like when Half Moon was open. If you are stayingon St. Thomas, the island of St. John isa $3, 20 minute ferry ride, andthere is a place in Coral Bay called Carolina Stables, and they offer beautiful, guided rides at a fair price And they take you right on to the beach! Check there.
