Hi Tina. Love your report. It was very interesting and informative. Did you tour all of WI? Did you see Providence Point where Waterfront Cottage is? That is where we will be staying. Also, we are interested in the ferry card you mentioned. You said it had 10 punches. Is that one punch for one way or round trip? And, can you use it for everyone or does each person need a separate one? How did you get to the ferry from the airport? Where do your friends shop for groceries? I know I have asked a lot of questions, so take your time in answering, I am just excited. I hope I don't miss your pictures. Thanks, Sue

The punch card can be used anyway you want it. We bought one for the 3 of us, and about midway-thru we bought another. and used our last punch on our way to the airport. The ferry captain will see your luggage and tell you about it.
We took a taxi(there are TONS outside of the airport.) Just say Crown Bay Marina. That is where the taxi is. Go past the Gourmet Gallery (grocery..kinda expensive, but very convienient) and you will see a bar at the end. It's called Tickles. The ferry goes there. It runs about every 30 minutes. They go back and forth. I will see if I can get a copy of the ferry schedule. They will probably have one on the ferry and in your house.(which I didn't see, BTW)
I really didn't explore the island. We walked on Limestone Beach, and trekked to and from Honeymoon Beach and the ferry. My friend used to guide the bike tour for the cruise ships. There is a link on the water island activities page here. I bet they would pick you up at the ferry. My best bet for you is to go to honeymoon beach and talk to the locals. They are great! There is a teen there who is soooo bright! He hangs out at Heidi's. If ytou PM me, I will email you LOTS of pics..hope you have high speed! But I haven't posted them yet..also really think about going on the Doubloon. who are you going with?

Hello Hopper,

The ferry schedule for Water Island is available on this site under Ferry Schedules. Scroll to the top of this very page and click on the link, its just below the Search Bar at the very top.

You can use Pirates Ridge to get your groceries so your home/villa has some things there for you when you arrive. They offer a provision service. You send them your grocery list and they take care of it, deliver it to your place. Very convienient for the first day you get in - so you don't have to trek to the grocery store.

Your board is great!
