Hello everyone -
I have been given the exciting task of planning my friend's honeymoon next summer. I have been looking at a lot of info about the USVI and think it might be perfect for them. They have been to places like Cancun many times in the past, and I want them to have something more isolated and romantic for their honeymoon.
However, I dont know which Island would be the best for honeymooners and am overwhelmed at all the hotel choices. They are looking to spend under $2000 for the honeymoon and would like something all-inlcusive.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks so much!

Carey

Hello Carey,

When you say they want to spend under $2000 does that to include airfare and hotel.. or just hotel, rental car, food etc? How many days are they or you planning on?

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping the $2000 could cover airfare, and an all inlcusive hotel. I did a bit of searching on the major travel sites and found packages for under that price, but want to make sure they have something nicer than the cheapest package available of course. I have been looking at 7 day trips for them.
Is a rental car necessary or usually recommended?

Thanks again!

Carey

I would be very interested in any all inclusive package with airfare for less than $2000 per week for two. What have you found?

Oh, Pardon me, it looks like they are not all inclusive packages...but the Best Western Carib Beach is priced on Expedia for $989 per person w/ complimentary breakfast. It looks as if all-inclusive places are hard to find in this destination. Perhaps I should keep looking 🙂

St. Thomas has a couple of all inclusive resorts from what I've found doing some research online. But its definately going to be a little more difficult to find airfare, and an all inclusive for $2000 or less for 2 people. Airfare will be around $1200 or more for 2!!

My husband and I went to St. John for our honeymoon - and let me tell you it was worth every penny. We rented a private villa for 10 days, a jeep and dined out every night. The entire vacation (including wedding ceremony and airfare) was around $7000 + spending money. We got a deal on airfare since we rented a villa from CVOA (Caribbean Villa Owners Association) and saved about $250 per ticket.

If they are looking for isolated and romantic - then they should head to St. John and look into renting a private villa. Nothing is more romantic then waking up overlooking the ocean and taking a swim with your new husband/wife in your own private pool! Feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Hello,

All-inclusive on St. Thomas... try http://www.wyndham.com

Another that offers all inclusive is http://www.bolongobaystthomas.com/

A rental car is a good idea if the couple plans to beach hop, eat dinner out every night, go driving around, ect.... if you are going all inclusive and they plan to hang out at the resort and only sightsee once or twice then its not necessary - there are plenty of taxis.

Why not try a charter yacht? It is all inclusive and can run as little as $3800 for the week for a honeymoon. Some also have honeymoon specials.
