My name is Ashten Richardson. My wife and I will be at Bluebeard's castle then at eh elysian for a week at each place. I was wondering about the nightlife. We are a younger couple. She is 20 and I am 24. This is our first honeymoon. Do have any recommendations as far as dinner cruises fine dinning etc? Is there any private beaches we could go to as well? For example she wants to have some picnic day on the beach with no one around. Is there any places like that?

There are a bunch of great spots. I would recommend Pelican Beach which is next to Sapphire past the shipwrecked cat. Walk down there and you should have that place to yourself. Or head to St John and Jumbie Beach is usually deserted as well.

Enjoy.

New Horizons does a very nice dinner cruise as well.

Hi Ashten.

There are no private beaches in the USVI. Depending on the time of year you visit you may be able to find some beaches with few or no other people on them but no one can promise that there won't be other people around or that folks won't arrive after you begin your picnic.

We spent last week on St John and there were more people at every beach than we usually see at this time of year. Perhaps Denis Bay Plantation Beach on St John would do but it is a hike down a very narrow trail. We're on St Thomas this week and have found the same to be true. Guess we have all been bragging about the USVI so much that everyone is coming for a look see. Nightlife? You did say you are on your honeymoon didn't you? You should be able to think of your own nightlife. 🙂 Have a good time in America's Paradise.

On the nightlife portion of your question - - Duffy's Love Shack in Red Hook is a must! Great drinks, fun music/dancing, perfect for twenty-somethings! Also I would suggest the Green House in C.A . and Iggie's in Bolongo Bay.
