my fiancee and I are planning on going to St. Thomas for our honeymoon and staying at the Wyndam all inclusive resort. I called the hotel directly and it was more expensive than I thought does anyone have any suggestions on websites or travel agencies that may have better prices.

Thanks,
Mike

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in St. Thomas. We decided that we wanted privacy more than anything else. As it happened we both found the same place to stay at the same time. She in a magazine and me on the inernet. I was reading about Pavilions and Pools on their web site when she came running into the computer room to show me the magazine with a write up on the very same place. It is a great place for honeymooners who are interested in privacy. Every room has their own private pool, just what we were looking for. Our room (108) had a wonderful view of St. John and it was a quick walk to Sapphire Beach. The room had two full glass walls and a slider that opened right onto the garden/pool area. It didn't (doen't) have any night life but then again we had our own 🙂 . We were in our bed, watching the sunrise, when we decided that we would return to St. Thomas every year. It was a wonderful place for us but everyone has a different idea of paradise (thank God).

Travelocity and sites like that sometimes have hotel specials. What I sometimes do is call the resort and try to get the price reduced. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. Ask for specials or just ask them if they have other prices for travel agents and if so maybe you will get that price. Sometimes a package deal through the discount travel companies with air have the best rates, but most of them only book through a travel agent. Check with your local travel agent and ask...you may just be surprised.mike wrote:

Mike: My personal view is that St Thomas has too much going on to stay at an all-inclusive! If you want to eat on property, there are lots of better, cheaper ways- places like Pools and Pavilions (noted above), Secret Harbour and Blazing Villas, etc. that have a kitchen can cut down on your breakfast and lunch costs.
