We recently returned from St Thomas and have decided to go back again next year. Does anyone know anything about the rental homes and villas available on St. John? We have heard about Destination St. John, but don't know a lot about them. Anyone have any experience with home/villa rental? Thanks!!

Carol

We used Caribbean Villas and had a great experience. It was our first time renting a villa and we will not do it any other way from now on.

My husband and I rented from Destination St. John for our honeymoon this past summer. They were wonderful and I can't say enough about how much we LOVED our villa. The people at the office were extremely helpful and our accomodations were more than we could have hoped for.

McLauglin/Anderson handles over a dozen rental villas on stj. we have done business with them for the past two years, and they are a first class operation. friendly, attentive to detail, patient with the first-time renter, and just a genuine pleasure to do business with. for pix/videos/written descriptions, rates, available dates, etc. go to :

Get a copy of Caribbean Travel and Life magazine. They have about a zillion ads for villas, cottages, homes etc. for rent.

We have rented homes through a couple of managers on St John. Windspree has tons of house for rent and we can say that we have been happy with them. Just be sure to ask how quiet the place is because a couple of times we rented houses with too much traffic noise and barking dogs another time. This trip we are renting through Cloud9villas. They seem very helpful so far.

I rented through Destination St. John for this June. Although we haven't used their villa yet, they were so accomodating and knowledge when I spoke with them. I had looked at other companies but felt really comfortable with Destination St. John. I liked being able to call and have them answer their phone and answer my questions. Some companies had to find the answer and then get back to me within a few days.

We went with Great Caribbean Getaways when we were there in November. Friendly staff, quite helpful when a papaya tree fell in the driveway (cleared out almost as soon as they got the message about it).
