Top Country music songwriters will return to the U.S. Virgin Islands this March for "Hit Makers & Rum Chasers." The seasonal songwriter series debuted on Nov. 23, 2013 at the Reichhold Center for the Arts in St. Thomas, and will take place for the second time on Saturday, Mar. 22, 7:30 P.M. Presented by Cruzan Rum, distributed by Glazer's Premier Distributors, the second installment of the show will feature acoustic performances by songwriters Kendell Marvel (George Strait’s "Twang," Jake Owen’s "Yee Haw," and "Don’t Think I Can’t Love You" ), Tim James (Trace Adkins single "All I Ask For Anymore," the 2010 Billboard Song of the Year, "Love Like Crazy," and the Rodney Atkins single "He's Mine" ), Phil O’Donnell (George Strait’s “Give It All We Got Tonight” and Montgomery Gentry’s “Back When I Knew It All” ), and Even Stevens (Kenny Rogers' "Love Will Turn You Around," Kenny Chesney's "Round & Round," and Tim McGraw's "Suspicions" ).
A portion of the proceeds from "Hit Makers & Rum Chasers" will benefit children's charities in the U.S. Virgin Islands as administered by The Charley Foundation, the Nashville-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides support to charitable agencies addressing the critical needs of children.
