How long is the hike to Honeymoon Beach? Will it be easy to get a taxi back to our cruise ship?
Thanks

Simplest and fastest way: Taxi from ship to Red Hook, ferry to St. John, taxi to Caneel, walk to beach, walk back to Caneel, taxi to ferry, ferry to Red Hook, Taxi to ship.

Honeymoon Beach on St. John or Water Island?

St. John Honeymoon - taxi situation - If you are docking in St. Thomas, there are always taxis when you get off the ship. And in Cruz bay there are always taxis also. If you go the Caneel Bay route -yes there are usually taxis in the parking lot to Caneel bay. If you hiked from Cruz Bay then you don't need to take a taxi as you can walk to the ferry. And if its a taxi from Red Hook or CA back to the ship yes there are usually taxis at those two spots when the ferries come in.

If you meant Water Island, taxis are not as regular at the Crown bay dock but you can have someone at Tickles restaurant call up the dispatcher and get a taxi there to get you, or you can arrange for the same one that dropped you there to come back for you at a set time - or get there card so you can call them.

If (St John) you want to hike to Honeymoon, it'll take you about an hour over desert like hills...and it's only a little over a mile I think. The trail starts out next to the Park Ranger Station at Cruz Bay (next to the ferry dock). Go the the park office and get free trail and island maps. Bring plenty of water if you plan on a hike around noonish because it gets very hot. If you're pressed for time from the cruise ship it may be easier to taxi there.
