We will arrive in STT Sunday April 20th and need transportation to either Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie ferry terminal. Is it too far to walk from the airport to Charlotte Amalie ferry? Will it be hard to find transportation to the ferry terminal? Need advice!!!

If you go to "St Thomas" in the bar at the top of this page you can scroll down to transportation and taxi rates which will give you all the information you need and the ferry rates and times are likewise listed. Once you get out of the airport the dispatcher will direct you to a taxi going in your direction, either to the relatively nearby Charlotte Amalie-St John ferry terminal or to the Red Hook-St John terminal. Some (depending on their time of arrival and the ferry times) enjoy the longer ferry ride from CA while others enjoy the taxi ride to Red Hook and the shorter ferry ride from there to STJ. The price works out about the same.

If you're renting a car on STT to take to STJ then you would have to drive to Red Hook as there is no car barge from CA to STJ. Cheers and have a great vacation! Don't worry, it's not at all complicated.

Yep, this will be very easy for you. The airport is small and the taxi dispatchers are about 100 feet from baggage claim, you cannot leave the airport without walking past them. They'll group you and place you in a van-sized cabs with people that are (mostly) going to the same spot as you.

Cheers, RickG

Try not to be frustrated with the taxi process. Sometimes they make unscheduled stops or will get you to the ferry just in time for you to watch it leave. Have a beer or rum punch and chillax...

Hello

Does anyone know how to get from St John to Virgin Gorda? Is it possible to get there via ferry on a Wednesday?

Maggie
